Headache of the Week: Parking Spot Squatters
I hate driving around looking for a parking spot. I’ve been a midwesterner my whole life and for the most part (baring holiday time) parking spots aren’t too difficult to come by. I don’t even mind parking further away and walking as long as I don’t have to wait. But finding a parking spot quick isn’t always possible. Sometimes you have to drive around for a while and parking spot stalk. What is parking spot stalking you ask? Parking spot stalking is actually quite simple. All you do is drive really slow down the aisle behind someone you see walking through the parking lot and when you see them getting in their car you stop and turn on your turn signal. This indicates to the person getting into there car as well as anyone else driving down the isle that you are waiting to park in the soon-to-be empty spot. Of course if the person is not leaving, it is appropriate for them to wave you off to let you know. If they are leaving, it is appropriate to leave as quickly as it is safe to do so.
SQUATTERS!!!
But does everyone follow these simple parking lot rules? NOOOOOOO! Some people are parking spot squatters. Now obviously it takes different people a different amount of time to get in their care and back out. I don’t think anyone expects the 87 year old grandma to jump in her car and do a Rockford (If you have never seen a Rockford done, check out the video below. And it’s done in a limo…awesome.)
But for whatever reason there are some people that take an obnoxiously long amount of time to back out of a parking spot even though they have clearly seen someone waiting for them. It’s almost like you have randomly stumbled across the safest driver in the whole world. Wheels…Check. Headlights…Check. Motor…Check. Mirrors…Check. Annoying the person waiting for you…Check. Stop it! It’s inconsiderate and annoying! Start your car. Leave the parking spot as quickly as possible. And STOP BEING A HEADACHE!
- Upper Cervical Chiropractic does an amazing job at helping people who suffer from headaches and migraines, but not all of life’s headaches can be helped by an adjustment. I promise to do my part to help rid the world of the headaches that come from misalignments of the neck but we are all going to have to chip in to help rid the world of the headaches that come from each other. Will you do your part? Don’t be a headache. –
